PROFESSIONAL AND CONTRACTED SERVICES

Northeast Metro 916 provides specialized professional and contracted services which develop from the collaboration with member districts. These services impact general education and special education programs as well as support the administrative and operational needs of partner districts. By sharing resources, districts are able to receive cost-effective, expert and reliable services which are also open to non-member participation when the capacity is available.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES SPOTLIGHT

916 offers summer training workshop aimed at strengthening member districts

Proactive Measures is a summer professional development series led by Northeast Metro 916 Intermediate School District, designed as specialized trainings that provide teachers and school staff with evidence-based strategies that will empower them to support student success in their least restrictive setting.

This series began as a pilot program in St. Francis Public Schools in the summer of 2017. By December of the same year, educators in that district already reported that:

  • Students were showing more independence in their pursuit of academic goals
  • Teachers and paraprofessionals were communicating more consistently about student needs.
  • Behavioral outcomes improved as educators had more positive interactions with students.
